Iron Ember was forged from a deep, personal love for bold flavors, fire, and experimentation. I’ve always been the kind of person who wants more out of life—more intensity, more flavor, more depth. And it all started with coffee.

I’m a coffee lover through and through. Not just the kind who drinks it in the morning—I’m the kind who makes it three different ways in one day just because it’s fun. Whether it’s drip, AeroPress, or moka pot, I love the ritual, the aroma, the rich, smoky kick of a deep medium-to-dark roast. That’s the kind of coffee that wakes something up inside you. It’s not just caffeine—it’s a statement.

Where Spice Meets Fire

“That moment you realize the pepper isn’t too hot—it’s perfect.”

The spice part of Iron Ember came from home—from my family. Especially my wife. One day I brought home a few ghost peppers, and she laughed and said, “There’s no way I’m eating those.” I sliced them up super thin, sprinkled them over tacos... and by the end of the meal, she had eaten the whole pepper.

That moment sparked something.

I started working with some of the hottest peppers in the world—ghosts, scorpions, reapers—smoking them, experimenting, and creating small batch blends. That led to the first version of what’s now our signature: Dragon Dust. A fiery, smoky, unforgettable blend that I originally made just for my family and friends. But soon I was traveling with it, gifting it, shipping it... and before long, people started asking, “Can I get more?”

From Tech to Taste: Forging a New Path

After 25 years in the tech world, I reached a turning point. I had built successful systems and platforms—but now I wanted to build something that felt real, something I could taste, something I could share. I took a leap and began to forge my own path, driven by one thing:

A deep passion for bold flavor and giving people the fuel they need to power through their lives.
